Position Summary

Reporting to the Senior Manager - Project Finance and Accounting, the Associate Manager - Project Business Development and Finance & Accounting is accountable for performing all aspects of project (grant) financial and accounting administration, including both federal and non-federal awards. This role combines financial management expertise with business development support to drive project success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive pre- and post-award support encompassing financial and accounting functions
  • Manage project budgets, project-level accounts, financial analysis, allocations, accruals, and forecasting of expenditures
  • Create cost and pricing proposals in collaboration with the business development team
  • Process country office monthly financial packages and support country offices in production
  • Support project leaders in addressing changes in project scope, timeline, and resolving financial issues that may impede project progress
  • Track and analyze consolidated financial results for all projects
  • Ensure compliance with federal and non-federal award requirements

Work Environment & Location

This position is primarily remote/home office-based. Job responsibilities may require periodic meetings, conferences, training, and travel to various locations. Employees within commuting distance to the Hallowell, ME office may opt for a hybrid arrangement.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will possess strong project accounting expertise, experience with federal grant management, proficiency in financial analysis and forecasting, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a collaborative environment.
