Role Overview

As a Debt Negotiation Professional, you'll help customers understand their options for resolving unsecured debt and navigating creditor negotiations. This is a hands-on role combining financial expertise with empathetic customer service to guide individuals through complex debt situations.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct 30-minute financial consultations with customers
  • Review unsecured debt situations including credit cards, medical bills, and personal loans
  • Educate customers on settlement strategies and creditor negotiation approaches
  • Explain consumer protection laws related to debt collection and Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) compliance
  • Discuss repayment planning strategies and credit rebuilding pathways
  • Provide guidance on financial recovery and long-term financial wellness

Ideal Background

  • Experience as a debt settlement negotiator, financial counselor, or credit specialist
  • Demonstrated expertise in unsecured debt negotiation
  • Familiarity with consumer protection statutes such as the FDCPA
  • Strong communication and empathy skills
  • Knowledge of credit reporting and financial regulations
