Role Overview

As a Growth Engineer specialising in Data Systems, you will own the technical DNA of BitMEX's analytics stack, ensuring data is high-fidelity, tracking is unbreakable, and the product's data "map" is flawless. You will transform "digital exhaust" into clean, structured, and actionable intelligence. Without your expertise, teams are guessing; with you, they make decisions with absolute confidence.

You sit at the vital intersection of engineering, marketing, and data, acting as the ultimate translator between business goals and technical execution. This role requires a deep understanding of how data flows through complex systems and the ability to architect solutions that scale with platform growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain the analytics infrastructure that powers business decisions across product, marketing, and operations teams
• Implement robust event tracking systems and data pipelines to ensure data quality and reliability
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define metrics, KPIs, and data models that align with business objectives
• Optimise data collection, processing, and storage for performance and cost-efficiency
• Build tools and dashboards that enable self-service analytics across the organisation
• Establish best practices for data governance, validation, and testing

Required Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in data engineering and analytics architecture
• Experience building and scaling event tracking systems and data pipelines
• Solid foundation in SQL, data warehousing, and ETL processes
• Understanding of product analytics and growth metrics
• Ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams
