About the Role

We are seeking a talented and motivated AI Engineer II to join our Applied AI team in a remote position based in Türkiye. This role presents an exciting opportunity to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment within a rapidly growing team, with strong prospects for continued growth and increased ownership. You will take on end-to-end ownership of complex platforms and systems that power Sezzle's AI-driven capabilities, operating in highly ambiguous problem spaces and working closely with product, engineering, and operations teams.

This is an ideal role for engineers ready to move beyond scoped execution and into leading solutions—shaping architecture, driving implementation, and ensuring that what is built is reliable, scalable, and genuinely useful for both external users and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and ownership of AI-powered internal platforms and systems, including initiatives built from the ground up
• Own end-to-end delivery of complex projects, from problem discovery and system design through production rollout and iteration
• Design and implement AI-driven features, intelligent automation, and orchestration systems that enhance customer experiences and compound productivity across teams
• Embed AI capabilities into customer-facing products, internal tools, and operational workflows to deliver tangible business value
• Identify opportunities where AI can drive meaningful impact—whether enhancing the customer experience, improving decision-making, or automating complex workflows
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable, production-grade AI solutions
• Ensure solutions are reliable, performant, and maintainable for long-term success

What We're Looking For

• High technical aptitude with strong problem-solving skills and intellectual curiosity
• Experience designing and building AI systems, machine learning pipelines, or intelligent automation platforms
• Proficiency in Python, cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), and modern software engineering practices
• Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments and take ownership of end-to-end solutions
• Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset—high EQ paired with high IQ
• Proven track record of shipping production-grade AI or software systems
• Experience with LLMs, generative AI, or advanced automation is a plus

Compensation & Location

This is a fully remote position open to candidates in Türkiye. The salary range for this role is $3,333 - $4,200 USD per month (gross), equivalent to approximately $40,000 - $50,400 USD annually.
