About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Rollout Lead (m/w/d) to drive digital transformation initiatives in partnership with the Deutscher Alpenverein e.V. (DAV), the world's largest mountaineering association with over 1.6 million members. This is a critical leadership position responsible for architecting and executing the introduction of new digital solutions across the organization, ensuring platforms, processes, and operating models are implemented in a structured and risk-controlled manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Rollout Strategy & Roadmapping: Develop and continuously evolve comprehensive rollout strategy for digital transformation, defining pilot phases and wave-based implementation pathways
  • Integrated Rollout Planning: Own operational planning and orchestration of rollout waves across multiple systems, releases, and organizational units while considering organizational capacity
  • Cutover & Go-Live Management: Lead detailed planning and execution of all cutover activities, define switchover points, and moderate readiness reviews for risk-controlled go-lives
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as central interface between program leadership, IT, business units, change management, and external partners to align technical and organizational initiatives
  • Quality Assurance & Readiness: Define and monitor readiness criteria (data, processes, support, training) ensuring all components align at the right time
  • Risk & Dependency Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate rollout risks; develop contingency measures and fallback scenarios for critical implementation phases
  • Hypercare & Operational Transition: Plan stabilization phase post-go-live and manage structured handover to regular operations
  • Governance & Decision Preparation: Establish clear release approval processes and prepare fact-based decision foundations for project and program leadership

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent with relevant transformation or program experience
  • Multiple years of proven experience planning and managing complex, large-scale rollouts, go-live initiatives, or transformation programs
  • Deep expertise in rollout and cutover management, project governance, readiness criteria, and support models
  • Strong stakeholder coordination skills across multiple projects and external implementation partners
  • Analytical mindset with excellence in data-driven decision-making and risk management
