The Role
We are seeking a (Junior) KYC Analyst (m/f/d) to strengthen our compliance team. This position offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of blockchain technology and financial regulation, supporting our continued growth in the rapidly evolving crypto-asset custody sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct and document due diligence procedures for KYC (Know Your Customer) and KYB (Know Your Business) assessments for new and existing customers (partners and end-users)
- Create and update risk analyses for partners and risk classifications for end-customers
- Evaluate and document AML (Anti-Money Laundering), sanctions, and PEP (Politically Exposed Persons) screening results, including transaction and sanctions screening
- Prepare and escalate suspicious activities and transactions related to money laundering and terrorism financing to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO)
- Communicate with partners and end-customers regarding KYC, KYB, and AML compliance matters
- Process and submit discrepancies to relevant transparency registries
- Develop compliance processes, control plans, and risk mitigation measures
- Facilitate cross-departmental communication and manage risk workflows
Required Qualifications
- Completed degree in Business, Law, Finance, or equivalent qualification
- Foundational knowledge of KYC, AML, or Compliance preferred
- Understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks including GwG (German Money Laundering Act), MiCAR (Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation), EU Money Transfer Regulation, FATF guidelines, and BaFin AuAs
- Strong analytical thinking and meticulous attention to detail
- Structured, independent working approach
- Fluent German and English language skills (written and spoken)
