We are currently looking for a Head of External Communications (Cybersecurity & Anti-Fraud) for the Adex project.

  • Proven track record managing earned media and external communications programs including interviews, quotes, bylines, announcements, and narrative positioning.
  • Experience working closely with executives, legal, compliance, security, and product teams to align messaging on complex or sensitive topics.
  • Strong understanding of global media dynamics; international PR experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage media relations end-to-end: pitching, briefings, reactive inquiries, embargoes, corrections, and follow-ups.
  • Communicate technical topics clearly and accurately to non-technical audiences.
  • Represent the project publicly when needed at industry events, webinars, roundtables, or media briefings.
  • Maintain an active professional presence on social media (LinkedIn/X) to support thought leadership.

Writing & Content

  • Adapt messaging for different audiences including media, partners, customers, industry bodies, and internal teams.
  • Edit and produce external communication materials such as press releases, statements, bylines, executive messaging, crisis communications, and briefing documents.
  • Use data-driven insights including coverage, sentiment, share of voice, SERP visibility, and monitoring metrics to guide strategy.

Reputation & Issues Management

  • Manage brand reputation and coordinate responses to sensitive issues.
  • Lead rapid response communication workflows from intake to approval and publication.
  • Support ORM and SERP reputation defense strategies when necessary.

Stakeholder & Agency Management

  • Drive cross-functional alignment across internal teams.
  • Manage PR agencies and external vendors including content, monitoring, and research providers.
  • Define KPIs and build communication processes, playbooks, and standards.

Domain Knowledge

  • Working knowledge of topics such as ad fraud, bot traffic, policy enforcement, threat prevention, malware or redirect risks, brand safety, and verification ecosystems.
  • Ability to translate security and anti-fraud initiatives into credible positioning and proof points.

Nice to Have

  • Existing relationships with cybersecurity, technology, or business media.
  • Experience with analyst relations, industry associations, or industry awards submissions.
