Position Summary

As a Grants Project Manager, you will play a vital role in the successful administration and development of grants within our organization. You will oversee the entire grant application process, from client kick-off through submission, ensuring compliance with all requirements and deadlines. This role demands strong project management skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. You will develop in-depth knowledge of major federal funding agencies including the Department of Energy (DOE), United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and National Science Foundation (NSF).

Key Responsibilities

Grant Application and Review:

  • Lead the preparation and submission of grant applications, ensuring full compliance with all requirements and submission deadlines
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the CFS team and clients/partners throughout the grant lifecycle
  • Develop comprehensive project timelines and milestones based on specific solicitation requirements
  • Create detailed project tasks aligned with funding solicitation objectives and assign responsibilities to appropriate team members
  • Manage client expectations by establishing clear "go" and "no-go" decision points
  • Conduct thorough reviews of grant applications to ensure quality, accuracy, and regulatory compliance

Project Management and Coordination:

  • Track project progress against timelines and deliverables, identifying and mitigating risks
  • Coordinate across multiple teams to ensure seamless grant application development
  • Maintain detailed documentation of all grant submissions and outcomes
  • Communicate proactively with stakeholders regarding project status and any potential issues

Federal Funding Expertise:

  • Maintain current knowledge of federal grant programs and funding opportunities
  • Understand compliance requirements across different federal agencies
  • Apply best practices in grant writing and project management
