As a Senior Backend Engineer, you'll architect and scale backend services powering mission-critical financial features. You'll partner with cross-functional teams to ensure systems are performant, maintainable, and aligned with both technical and business objectives. Your work will directly impact how tens of thousands of businesses manage corporate spend across Latin America.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust backend services using Java, Spring, and related technologies
• Build scalable microservices and APIs that handle high-volume transaction processing
• Architect solutions for payment infrastructure, ensuring reliability and security
• Collaborate with product, frontend, and infrastructure teams to deliver integrated features
• Write clean, maintainable code following best practices and design patterns
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers
• Optimize system performance and troubleshoot production issues
• Contribute to technical strategy and system design decisions

What We're Looking For

You're a seasoned backend engineer with proven experience building scalable systems in production environments. You have deep expertise in Java and Spring ecosystems, understand distributed systems, and are comfortable working with databases and cloud infrastructure. You thrive in collaborative environments, communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and are passionate about financial technology and Latin America's growth.

Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to code quality are essential. Experience with payment systems, fintech, or high-transaction-volume platforms is a plus.
