Role Overview

As a Data Engineer, you will be at the forefront of building a leading and innovative market data platform that underpins the business. You will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of Capstone's sophisticated data infrastructure. The ideal candidate brings essential expertise in creating and maintaining market data platform pipelines and tools, with relevant experience working with financial data. You should have exposure to various data stores such as Snowflake, Redshift, and time-series databases. As a liaison between technical teams and business users, excellent communication skills are essential. Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support a world-class data platform covering real-time market data, unstructured data, and alternative data sources
• Develop scalable data solutions that enable investment professionals to efficiently extract actionable insights from complex datasets
• Build tools and automation frameworks to streamline data workflows and reduce manual processes
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions
• Maintain and optimize existing data infrastructure for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
• Implement best practices for data quality, governance, and security across the platform
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience building and maintaining data pipelines in production environments
• Strong proficiency with cloud data warehousing platforms (Snowflake, Redshift, or similar)
• Experience with time-series databases and financial market data
• Solid programming skills in Python, Java, Scala, or similar languages
• Understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data architecture patterns
• Experience working in fast-paced, collaborative technical environments
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively across teams
